Financial Aid

The New York higher education community provides statewide support to students and families on "how to apply" and "how to pay for college". Students and parents should explore all financial aid options. There are many sources of financial aid assistance available to help cover the costs of a college education.

New York's "College Financial Aid Awareness Network" is a cooperative project of the New York State Financial Aid Administrator's Association (NYSFAAA) and the New York Higher Education Services Corporation (NYSHESC).

Financial Aid Toolkit - includes fact sheets, videos, infographics, PowerPoint presentations, sample tweets, and other resources to help you advise students about financial aid.

StudentAid.gov - The federal government's official website which has a great deal of information for college bound students and their parents.

FinAid.org - The most inclusive financial aid website it provides various financial aid calculators (including family contribution calculators), loan repayment calculators, savings calculators.

Naviance

Naviance is a college and career readiness solution that helps districts and schools align student strengths and interests to postsecondary goals, improving student outcomes and connecting learning to life. All students in grade 9 through grade 12 have access to Naviance and utilize the key features of this program during their four years of high school.
