Baldwin UFSD Collaborates with African American History Museum of Nassau County for the Third Year
Through an exclusive partnership with the African American History Museum of Nassau County, Baldwin Union Free School District hosts a unique Black History Month exhibit featuring students’ work. Now in its third year, Baldwin UFSD proudly stands as the first and only district to establish such a collaboration with the museum. This time, both the secondary and elementary school students contributed artwork and literary pieces, such as poetry.
A total of 129 students from grades K-12 participated in this initiative. The exhibit will be on display throughout February. An official opening night ceremony was held to honor the students, their creations, and the exhibit's significance in celebrating Black History Month, approximately 200 members of the Baldwin community and media coverage for the occasion.
