Steele Elementary School Students Win Liberty Water’s “Be Water Wise” Competition

Steele Elementary School Students Win Liberty Water’s “Be Water Wise” Competition

Four Steele Elementary School third graders, Ariana Mustapha, Cayleigh Hollingsworth, and Micah Gordon from Ms. Susan Michels' class and Hezekiah Antoine from Danielle Greco's class, have been selected as winners in the Liberty Water’s prestigious “Be Water Wise” Art Contest. Their artwork will be featured in Liberty Water's 2025 "Be Water Wise" Calendar, which will be mailed to all Liberty Water customers

Additionally, Steele has been awarded a special water conservation presentation, further highlighting the elementary school’s commitment to raising awareness about the importance of conserving water.

The "Be Water Wise" art contest is an annual calendar competition that recognizes artistic designs and creativity that demonstrate an understanding of water conservation. Each month of the calendar features water-saving tips and reflects the importance of conserving water through students' artwork. The yearly contest offers a fun and imaginative opportunity for students throughout Long Island to explore the water cycle and understand the critical need for preserving the Island's drinking water. Submissions are evaluated based on artistic skill, creative insight, and the effectiveness of conveying the importance of water conservation.
