Introducing Our School-Based Health Center Through Our Partnership with Harmony Healthcare Long Island

Baldwin Union Free School District is pleased to announce its partnership with Harmony Healthcare Long Island and the opening a School-Based Health Center (SBHC), located at Baldwin High School. The district’s new SBHC provides comprehensive medical care in addition to behavioral health services at no cost to students. The launch of this resource highlights Baldwin UFSD’s continued commitment to enhancing and prioritizing the health and wellness of its students.

No-Cost, Accessible Care
Students can receive services at no cost, regardless of insurance status. While insurance may be billed when available, there are no co-pays and no bills issued to families. Enrollment in the SBHC does not require transferring from an existing primary care provider.
Services Offered by the Harmony Healthcare’s School-Based Health Center
SBHCs provide comprehensive medical and behavioral health services directly on campus, ensuring students have accessible care that supports both their physical and emotional well-being. On-site healthcare reduces absenteeism, improves health outcomes, and encourages adolescents to take an active role in caring for themselves.
Each SBHC is staffed by licensed healthcare professionals who collaborate with school nurses and administrators to address health concerns and adverse experiences affecting student development. Services include expanded primary care and behavioral health support during the school day.
